TMST #13: 14th and 21st Topics

Hello All ! 

I missed the topic for last week. So I thought I would just and it to this week's Tell Me Something Tuesday. The topic was 'Blogging: Hardest Part'. At first I was going to say that it is only a matter of not procrastinating. After having issues my last two blog posts, I had to change my answer to posting using a smart phone.

This week's topic is reading challenges in 2022. If I participate in any, it will only be the Goodreads Challenge.

Sunday Post #79: Yet Another Subscription

I stumbled upon the Mindful Souls website. I bought three items individually. Than I realized it would be cheaper to sign up for the subscription box. 

These were in my first box in October.

 These items were in my second box that arrived on Friday. 

I would say that this is probably my favorite subscription box, along with my monthly tea.

I am currently listening to an audiobook called Seeking Persephone. I also am in the middle of an eBook called Pure as Snow. So far, I am enjoying the two stories.

I was thinking how Halloween is the one day of the year when adults can dress up as almost anything they would like to be in real life (i.e. super hero). With that said, here is my costume for this year.

TMST #11: How Do You Read?

 

Hi All. I know there was not many other posts between my TMST. I hope to change that soon. 

In the meantime, for this week's question = Paper, electronic, audio... How do you read?

I don't really have a preference. Each one has it's benefits. 

For example, I think that audio makes the characters seem real. It definitely feels that way with the Shades of Magic trilogy.

As for electronic, it is simply the ease and convenience of being able to read once you buy the book.

Of course, having the physical book won't go out of style.

I prefer to read one book at a time. Obviously, that's not always possible.  Quite a few time I will read two books. On occasion, depending if I am writing any reviews, I have read three books at a time.

Hello. I hope this week's TMST finds you well. So.... Libraries... do you use yours?  I do not. The Last time I was in a library was the summer of 2006. That year I also received my driver's license, my favorite athlete retired and my favorite baseball team was in the World Series. Those things have nothing to do with this week's topic. I just thought mentioning them would make this post more interesting.

I was waiting for this topic which is - Book I Wish They'd Make into a Movie or TV Series. My answer is the Shades of Magic Trilogy by V.E. Schwab. There are two relationships that I love. The first is between Kell (the main male character) and his brother. The second is Kell and Lila (main female character).

WWBC #20: One Task

Hello All! I decided to do something different with this week's challenge.

The one task I wish I never had to do again would be making salads. I used to work at a salad restaurant. While I loved working with my co-workers and was grateful to have a job, some salads became insane. I will explain. Customers could customize their order (salad and/or sandwich). More than one customer would want so many toppings that it literally would not fit in one bowl.

TMST #3: Physical Copies

Hello again. 

This weeks question - Do you ever buy physical copies of your NetGalley/Edelweiss approvals?

I don't know whether or not physical copies can be bought as an arc.

I am assuming that this is asking if I buy them after reading the NetGalley copy. 

Either way my answer is no. I may buy an e-copy if I enjoyed the book well enough to read it again.

In my case this is kind of a trick question/topic. All of my jobs were working with food. While the tasks weren't difficult, dealing with customers often was a bit challenging. Not exactly the most exciting answer, but there you have it.

WWBC #19: Meet My Pet

 Welcome back to my Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge. I would like you all to meet Gigi.

Most dogs will bark at the slightest sound. Gigi prefers to wait until an intruder has made him/herself known.

Most dogs will wait until someone "drops" food on the ground. Gigi will see food on the floor and look at you as if to say, "You think I'm going to eat this? 

We all know not to stare directly  into a dog's face. Gigi will simply stare back.
