Last of 2020

Hello. Happy New Year('s Eve)! I hope this post finds everyone that is reading it healthy.

2020 Goals: It is safe to say that I literally did not accomplish any goals that I have set for this year.

Books in 2020: Out of the three books that I named in this post, I completed two of them.

Holiday Post: So much for a "busy 2020". I hope 2021 will be a little busier.

WWBC #12: Last Challenge of 2020

It has been a while since I participated the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge.  There are a few Challenges that I wanted to do, but I missed.

- August 5th = My Favorite Tropes of X Genre

I am mostly into romance.

When talking specifically of the the characters, so far I have always love the broken, aloof hero. There is usually a reason for the lack of emotional connections to other characters.

- August 19th = Favorite Book or Movie Quote and Why

Grandmother: I don't drink anymore.

(Rest of family reacts surprised)

Grandmother: I don't drink any less either.

This is from the movie "While You Were Sleeping".

It would be so easy to be set up to use this quote in real life.

- October 14th = Re-reading Book... Why or Why not

I re-read parts of books once I finish them. Of course this would depend on how much I enjoyed the book.

- November 4th = Favorite Songs or Musicians

My favorite band is Aerosmith. My favorite (non band) musician is Billy Joel.

- December 9th = A Profession in a Book I'd like to try

In the book called, Irish Magic, the main female character is in public relations.  I watched I show in which that was the case. I always thought it would be so cool to say something like " I have a meeting with the people from....." or "I just won over this account".

WWBC #10: A Villain that I Wish Could be Redeemed and Why

Hello All ! My #10 was originally supposed to be last week, but I decided to skip that topic.

I wish that Two-Face could be redeemed.

(I am basing my reason on the 90's cartoon and Batman Tall Tale video game.)

Harvey Dent was said to be Gotham's best attorney. He was also a very good friend of Bruce Wayne. I would just love to see Dent and Bats be on the same side and work together.

Short but sweet .... and to the point

WWBC #8: My Silliest Pet Peeves

I hope this week's WWBC post finds you safe.

I actually have two pet peeves.

I used to work in a couple sandwich shops. One topping was banana peppers. Customers often call banana peppers "peppercinis", saying that the two were the same. The two peppers actually are not the same.

Banana peppers are yellow.
Peppercinis are light (at least) green. They are slightly spicier than Banana peppers

My second pet peeve is the one that actually makes me cringe. I can't stand it when people pronounce Italian as "Eye-talian". The reason why is simple. The name of the country is not "Eye-taly".

There you have my pet peeves. See you all next week.

Sunday Post #45: March Singles Swag .... Bookish Games

It it time once again time for Single Swag.

To start I like the new shipping box.
I aways think that coconut macaroons are going to be dry and bland. These, however, were tasty.
I had to look up the Calm and Cool Essential oil. I gave it a try and I most like will use it.

The new edition of Bookish Games will start this week. I am excited to be playing. I hope the spectators will enjoy it as well.

WWBC #4: Best Book / Movie / TV Couple

I wasn't going to participate in this week's challenge. However, when I realized there was one answer for book and television, I suddenly was excited for this particular post.

That Answer is Bruce Wayne and Princess Diana of Themyscira.

I have not found the exact comic books that contain the "wonderbat" story arc, but I know they exist.

Have you ever watched the Justice League cartoon? There seemed to be hints of attraction between "Bats" and "Wondy".

I want to say that there was tension between the two leaguers in the movies, but that may just be my imagination.

Disclaimer: I hope this doesn't infringe on copyright laws. I am only a big Justice League fan and a "wonderbat" shipper.

WWBC #3: New Hobby I'm Trying

The hobby that I am trying is drawing. I do not claim to have any artistic talent. I have, however, found drawing to be extremely calming for me. I recently decided to get a drawing pad and colors pencils.

The following are Sunday Posts that focused on the drawings that I did.

"Trying" is the the key word.

I don't know when I will participate next in the WWBC. Until then, good bye.

WWBC #2: Books I Can't Wait to Read in 2020

I have a want to read 25 books this year. Right now, my "want to read" shelf consists of only 18 books. I would like to read those books. It is unlikely that I will read all of those 18 books this year. I will also read (and review) an arc one to two times a month.

Books in my "want to read" shelf include:

* A Gathering of Shadows (by: V.E. Schwab)

- I read the first book and I loved the main male character.

* Cross Stroke (by: Elizabeth Hartey)

- Once I read this I will have finished a series. Well, in this this case, a trilogy.

* The Highlander's Crusader Bride (by: Cathy MacRae

- A character in the book (assuming she is the main female character) shares my heritage.

Granted, I don't know if this week's challenge was supposed to be books that are published in 2020.

Goodbye for now and see you next week.

WWBC #1: Goals for 2020

(I don't know if I will be able to post every week. So I hope it is okay that I am using this graphic.)

My goals for 2020 (in no particular order):

*** lose at least 20 lbs 🏋

- I am sure weight loss is on a lot of people's list of goals.

*** find a job NOT involving food 🍔

- While it relaxes me, I rather find something that doesn't require me to work with food.

*** read 25 books 📚

- This is for the 2020 Goodreads Challenge .

*** take more than one class 🏫

- It will take me forever if I take only one class a year.

***  finish story 📖

- I started writing a story in 2011 that I never completed.

I wish everyone luck on their goals. 🍀

Sunday Post #40: Happy New Year and Merry Christmas

Am I a little late for this kind of post? It depends on a person's ethnicity.
The are many cultures in which people celebrate Christmas on January 6th or 7th (possibly later). My family celebrates Christmas on December 25 and January 6th. So today is Christmas Eve once again.

To all who are celebrating this week, I want to say,  "Happy New Year And Merry Christmas".

To everyone, I hope you had a great New Years eve and day.

I am anticipating a busy 2020. I hope everyone has something to look forward to this year.

Singles Swag Unboxing for January

Yes, it's that time of the month.
January's Singlesswag Unboxing

Here we go!

This is the second time I received theses two items, and I loved them the first time.

Definitely Rich

I may be a nerd, but I think the bottle  is as cool as the necklace itself.

I don't usually wear lip gloss, but I'll make an exception.

I could actually use this.

Okay, I'll try these two.

Nice!
