Finally at 100 Sunday Posts!

There were two Tell Me Something Tuesday prompts that I missed. So I would like use my 100th Sunday post for those prompts.

For the start of December, the topic:

 If you were stranded on a desert island which book would you want with you? 

I would be worried about finding a way off that desert island.

The final December topic: 

What are your favorite books/audiobooks that you read in 2023? 

It is a memoir called Voice Lessons. The author is my favorite voice actor. Now I am going to have to be very picky about other books I add to my favorites.

Sunday Post #99: Reading Challenges and Fluidart

 

Hello All! To those that celebrate, I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. For everyone, I hope you all had a good week.

I am happy to say that I have completed my Goodreads Reading Challenge as well as my Kindle reading challenge. This year I was able to find a favorite - a memoir. I hope all of you found at least one favorite this year.

Sunday Post #98: Regarding Fanfiction

Hello All ! I mentioned fanfiction in another Sunday Post. However I decided to make this week's post about it. The reason is that I have a short one-shot fic about the Shades of Magic brothers. 

I have it taking place after ACOL but before Threads of Power. There may be a spoiler or two. Also I recently noticed the typos. It is only my third fanfic and I don't have a beta reader.

TMST #23: August Tells

 

8/8 = Which book world would you like to visit (real and/or fictional)?

This was probably a common answer, but I have to go with Hogwarts.

At the start of one of the movies, there seemed to be an Olympic-ish Quidditch competition between the nations. This said to me that in this fantasy world, there was an American version of Hogwarts.

8/15 = Do you DNF books? When do you decide to stop?

So far, I do not have a DNF shelf. For the one book that I considered for a DNF shelf, I just ended up finishing it. After I decided not to read any more books from that particular series.

2023 Favorite Fan Competition

 

2023 FAVORITE FAN COMPETITION

World Famous author, Opëshum will be opening The 2023 Favorite Fan Competition on June 1st and closing it for entries on June 30th.

If you love SciFi and Fantasy Fiction Novels, and have a solid following on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, you are eligible to enter the competition, and compete with others for the title of being her FAVORITE FAN of 2023 along with a cash prize of $75 U.S.

CONTEST RULES:

• Read "Beyond the Father -Book 1 of gods on Trial: The Series™ "

 
• Prepare a video reel on Instagram, FaceBook or TikTok, sharing your analysis of the book, the plot, theme, greatest problems facing at least two characters, and what you liked most about the book.

 
• Reels must be authentically yours and reflect ACTUAL content in the book. Brief recap summaries of the book synopsis are not eligible to win.

• The competition opens on June 1, 2023 which means those competing may start posting their Instagram, Facebook or TikTok reels as early as June 1st.

• The competition closes on June 30, 2023, meaning the last eligible reels must be posted on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok no later than 12 • Opëshum and staff members from 1iR3 Publishers will be viewing each reel to judge them for quality, depth, and to look for the person who provided the BEST analysis and details on the book. The person with the best analysis posted to Instagram, Facebook or TikTok will be selected as Opëshum's Favorite Fan of 2023!!

The winner will be named in mid July via 1) an announcement on Goodreads, 2) the author's Instagram and FaceBook page, and 3) on the publisher’s Twitter page.

• Only ONE winner will be selected.

• Contestants can borrow a copy of the book from a friend, check out a copy at the library, or get a copy of the book on Kindle here.

• REGISTRATION TO ENTER THE COMPETITION IS FREE: However, you must email the author directly to register for the competition before you start. Email Opëshum Patroz directly at BookReviews@GodsOnTrial.com.

 Hello All!

I missed last week's tell, so I just thought I would do a combined topic post. 

Last week's topic: How long do you stick with a series you loved, if you start not enjoying the books? 

I haven't really reached/hit a point like that yet. I was more along the lines of " Not my favorite but still good".

This week's topic: What were your expectations when you started blogging? 

It was not my intention to have this blog be strictly about books. That's why I didn't try to come up with a "bookish" name for my blog. 

I really didn't have many expectations. In fact, I was certain I would just forget about the blog altogether.

WWBC #26: First Site and Favorite Subject

 Hello All !

Welcome to my first Wednesday Blog Challenge of 2023 ! I hope it finds you well.

I wanted to post about last week's challenge, but missed it... obviously.

Last week asked: What was the first site you remember visiting?

Aside from search engines, the first site I can remember was called "Bolt.com" . I loved that site.

This week's topic is favorite school subject.

Mine was  yearbook. Yep! There was a class specifically for making the yearbook. I am proud to admit that I took that class for my junior and senior years. It was an easy A.

TMST #20: January 2023 Tells

 

Hello. I just thought that I would combine the January prompts (that I have answers for) in to one post.

- 3rd = What are your blogging/reading goals for the new year?

As far as reading goes, I am doing the Goodreads 2023 challenge. My goal is 36 books. I hope that those 36 will include the books on my Goodreads to-be-read list. As for blogging, I just hope to post more entries.

- 17th = Do you tend to enjoy spin off series? Or are you hesitant about them? 

There was one spin off series that I read and I wasn't hesitant about reading it. I enjoyed the books of the series.
